Second Day of Activity

Tuesday, June 11, was the second day of our adventure with the „Connect to the Life” project. We started it with a scavenger hunt – our task was to solve all sorts of riddles and puzzles, which led us to the next points of our city. In this way we got to know the most interesting corners of Rybnik, while performing often surprising and funny tasks. An additional competition task was to take a selfie with a nutria – that is, The Best pic of the week 😉

Slightly tired by the scavenger hunt, we went to a cooking workshop at the restaurant Widelcem po mapie, where we could make traditional Polish pierogi with our own hands. For both us and our guests from Turkey and Spain, the „Culinary workshop” was a very interesting experience – in a relaxed atmosphere we were able to exchange opinions on the traditional dishes of three different countries, think about what, how and when we eat.

After the dumpling tasting, we took part in the workshop „Trapped in the Internet and Social Media”, led by Dr. Alina Stosor from the College of Business and Health Sciences, Rybnik Branch. The topic of the workshop was the problem of digital addiction and its disastrous consequences in the lives of young people. The summary of the meeting was our making of a mind map, on which we collected ideas on how we can log off from the virtual to the real world.

THIRD DAY OF ACTIVITY

STAINED – GLASS WORKSHOP by Oświatowym Centrum Nauki i Techniki w Wodzisławiu Śląskim

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Another highlight was an interesting photography workshop led by Dr. Łukasz Szatanek. They inspired us to look at the world around us in a different way and capture unique moments and places in photography.

After a time of creative work, we met at Restauracja Szwajcaria where we were able to taste Swiss cuisine, including various types of rösti.

In the afternoon, we organized the European Fair at our school – each group presented its national colors, introduced the geography and history of the country, prepared traditional dishes, dances and songs. This amazing meeting allowed us to get to know our project partners better, open up to new cultures and celebrate the beauty of diversity.

Fourth Day of Activity

We started Thursday, June 13, at the Akademickie Liceum Ogólnokształcące Politechniki Śląskiej by participating in English and French lessons. Language games and activities allowed us to get to know each other even better as well as learn new useful words and phrases.

After the creative work was completed, it was time to spend the afternoon together with our host families – we were able to spend this time in interesting places of our choice. It was a great opportunity to show the guests the beautiful corners of Silesia and spend time together actively without the phone and the Internet.

Fifth Day of Activity

Friday, June 14, was a day to sum up the effects of our work, give thanks and make plans for the future. We met at Akademickie Liceum Ogólnokształcące Politechniki Śląskiej to share our thoughts on our activities and also to admire a beautiful exhibition of our posters and stained glass.

There was also time to dance together, to solve a quiz on knowledge of the Polish language and solve the contest „The best pic of the week”. Students from Spain and Turkey also gave presentations on the places where we will continue our adventure with the Erasmus+ Connect To The Life .

Our joint meeting ended with a certificate ceremony.

We said goodbye to our guests from Eskişehir Anadolu Lisesi and Agifodent – Language in Group, grateful for the valuable time spent together and its tangible results. We have great plans for joint activities in Turkey and Spain.
